Welcome to Village Impact Project (VIP)
The Village Impact Project team reaches out to families and service providers in the Casino Road/Madison area to build stronger connections within our community. VIP provides vital support and enables relationships to be nurtured which allows many local children and families to feel engaged and empowered.
There are many ways we support our community:
Call the office to set up an appointment to meet with one of our Community Navigators. We will work to connect you to resources in our community in order to help support you and your family during times of need. Appointments available in Spanish & English.
Coffee Hour/El Cafecito
Friday mornings 10:30am at Hand in Hand office. Bilingual (English/Spanish)
We meet each week in order to build community, get to know our neighbors and connect our families to various resources in the community as we learn from different community providers about services and opportunities for us as individuals and families. Kids are welcome to attend with their parents.
Little Science Club with Imagine Children's Museum
Join us Fridays from 11:30am-12pm immediately following Coffee Hour. Bilingual (English/Spanish)
This bilingual program is perfect for preschool age kids ages 3-5 and their parents. They use math and science to play and explore, making learning fun and educational.
1st Saturday of every month. Located in Building A. 11am-1pm. (Doors open at 10:45am)
Please bring identification for at least one adult and Provider One cards for all children living in household.
Emergency Food Boxes
Emergency Food Boxes are available to families when regular resources like local area food banks are unavailable. Please contact the office for availability.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30-5:30pm at the Horizon Elementary Gym.
Open to all Horizon Elementary School students from 1st-5th grade. This is an after school activity focused on helping students complete their homework, learn about nutrition, eat a healthy meal and engage in physical exercise, (like soccer) as we work in partnership with Washington Youth Soccer to provide this program.
Future Stars Soccer Program
Hand in Hand offers a Spring and Fall soccer program for our littlest kids, (ages 4-6) and their families. Practices and games are held locally and the kids are coached by our teen Hand in Hand soccer coaches and supervised by Hand in Hand Staff. Program is offered at a reduced cost to our community.
Soccer Outreach Program
Hand in Hand offers a reduced cost year-long mentorship soccer program for kids ages 7-18 which includes two seasons of soccer, (typically a Spring & Fall season) several tournaments, a Summer day camp and the opportunity to be a part of our Hand in Hand soccer family. Registration typically begins in January/February and team availability may vary as we do not have appropriate teams for all ages/genders. Please call the office for availability and prices.
Student Mentorship at Explorer Middle School and Mariner High School
